A-11 : Tiny House Design
I have been looking around the web lately and there seems to be a lot of tiny house designs recently. I figure the reason for this is because of the state of the economy at the moment, and the cost of land. By creating tiny house plans, you can minimize the space used on a lot.
This new house plan is equipped with all the essentials. It has a bathroom with shower, kitchen, a loft to sleep in, and even a TV. The window at the very top of the house is one of my favorite parts. As you can see in the 3D view of the house, the window is currently shaded. This is ideal for when it is summer, and you want to keep the heat out of the house. During the winter the sun can hit the big window, and the house will absorb heat. This is a green friendly design I tried to add into the tiny house.
I realize this type of house is not ideal for everyone, because some people like having their space. Me on the other hand would love a place like this because I feel comfortable and cozy in a small place like this.
This is my first modern house plan I am attempting to design. Modern homes now tend to be simple square shape. Some other characteristics are cantilevering parts of the house, and lots of windows which sometimes go to the edge of the building. The materials used in modern homes today are corrigated steel, wood, and concrete (Among other). This house I am designing has all of these materials on the outside and inside of the house.
I started with a big monolithic concrete Z-shape. You can see this on the elevation. I also added a lot of long windows. They are long but also located high up on the interior walls. This helps for privacy in the home. The other two materials that make up the outside are wood and corrugated steel. The thin hatched lines are the corrugated steel and the thicker hatched lines are the wood. The wood is located only on the first floor of this elevation.
I don’t normally start my design of a house with an elevation, but I wanted to see how it would look. I also have a very good idea of what the inside of the house will look like when I am done the plans. This means that the elevation wont change very much, or at all.
I just finished the blueprints for my newest house plan. I based this house on a certian type of property. The site I had in mind is a rolling hill with a beautiful water view on the back side of the house. Since there is a hill, it is possible to make a door to coming out of the basement. I took advantage of this option by making the basement into an optional apartment that could be rented out. This is why the basement has an optional kitchen. If a kitchen wasn’t installed it could always be a games rooms for the whole house.
This site also has the water view on the back side of the house, so I placed a lot of windows facing the water, even in the garage. There is also a fireplace that runs up the entire house on the exterior. On the interior the fireplaces can be seen on the first and second floor.
I thought I would show you guys the house plans early, but I am also going to make an elevation so you can see what the house looks like on the hill. Stay tuned on to see the elevation coming soon. I will remind my followers on twitter when the elevation is posted.
This is my newest house plan. The entire front of the house is made out of brick veneer and the other sides are vinyl siding. It has the basic rooms most houses would and it comes with three bedrooms. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. The main floor has a family room, living room and dining room equipped with a bar. Feel free to leave a comment on wether or not you like my newest house plan. Thanks.
This plan is finally done and I hope it was worth the wait. I have been verybusy lately but I managed to get this one done. My favorite parts of this plan are how open the living room is with the entire downstairs and the size of the master bedroom. The master is equipped with a walk-in closet and a master bathroom which is standard with most of my plans.
